Our university, which continues its studies with the thought of being one of the important centers of the world in terms of thermal and medical terms, continues its activities rapidly ”

We Must Treat Patients as if they were Family Members

Governor Mustafa Tutulmaz who mentioned that Turkey is in a prominent position among the world countries in terms of reaching health services stated,  “Doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals’ effort on this success cannot be ignored. First of all, I congratulate you all in this sense. As a person who lived abroad for two years in England, I want to share my observations. I think there is a problem in nursing in our country.Nursing in the UK means providing healthcare services to citizens in the form of contact. In other words, after the doctor performs the necessary intervention, the nurses perform every service, from dressing that person to taking a bath, giving the medicine and giving the injection. Therefore, the patient does not need another person. While providing this service, he serves his patients in the same way he behaves to  his mother, father, brother and father.Unfortunately, this kind of service understanding is a little more in the background in our country. Please let’s be sensitive about this. It decreases the value of the services provided. We should treat our patients like family members. You should also give the courtesy given by the doctors.”Providing information about the Visit Afyon Mobile Application at the end of his speech, Governor Mustafa Tutulmaz said that the application would be an important travel guide during the three-day program. After the speech of Governor Mustafa Tutulmaz, 18th National Nursing Congress continued with a panel.
