AFSU Faculty of Health Sciences 2021 Graduation Ceremony Held

A graduation ceremony was held at Zafer Health Complex Atatürk Square for 2021 graduates of AFSU Faculty of Health Sciences (SBF). Our Rector Prof. Dr. Nurullah Okumuş, AFSU Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Umit Dundar and Prof. Dr. Adem Aslan, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Necip Becit, AFSU Secretary General Kutay Erşen, heads of departments, faculty members, students, administrative staff and relatives of graduates were present at the ceremony attended by only vaccinated Nursing, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation graduates due to pandemic conditions in SBF, which has 310 graduates this year.

Making a speech at the ceremony that started after the moment of silence and the National Anthem, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Tolga Ertekin said that their school, which started its four-year undergraduate education under the name Afyon Health School in the 1997-1998 academic year, turned into the Faculty of Health Sciences with the establishment of AFSU on May 18, 2018.

Prof. Ertekin continued his words as follows: “The students of the Faculty of Health Sciences, which has a strong teaching staff at the University of Health, AFSU, have received a qualified education during the Covid-19 pandemic and graduate with sufficient equipment.

Our dear graduates. When you graduate from our faculty, you do not only receive a diploma, you also graduate as sensitive and social individuals who have intellectual background and touch every stage of life, as well as specializing in your own fields in line with the requirements of the age.

We would like to thank your families and lecturers who have contributed to you; I wish you, who are at the beginning of a new life, an honest, fair, open to innovations, happy, healthy and successful future.”

Prof. Dr. Okumuş: “You are justifiably proud of graduating from higher education by enduring many difficulties.”

In his speech, Our Rector Prof. Dr. Nurullah Okumuş congratulated the new graduates, the faculty members who work devotedly to raise them, and their families for the sacrifices they made to raise their children and wished the graduates success in their careers.

The graduation ceremony ended with the performance of the folk-dance team, the giving of certificates to the students who finished their departments with the first three degrees, and the throwing of the caps after the graduates took their professional oaths.
