Ablation Procedure is Successfully Applied in AFSU in the Treatment of Heart Rhythm Disorder

Our patients with arrhythmia in their hearts started to regain their health with Electrophysiological Study and Ablation Procedures applied in AFSU Health and Practice Research Center (SUAM) Cardiology Clinic. Ablation, which is a method used in the treatment of rhythm disorders, is popularly known as the process of burning the region of the heart that causes rhythm disorders.

Stating that the ablation procedure has been successfully applied to 12 patients so far, Dr. Instructor Prof. İbrahim Ethem Dural stated that the Electrophysiological Study Procedure is a method that provides a definitive diagnosis in patients with rhythm disorders, and that it provides the diagnosis of arrhythmia in patients who cannot be diagnosed with EKG and EKG holter or whose rhythm disorder is not fully understood.

Stating that although the procedure performed in the Angiography Unit is similar to normal angiography, the recovery period is faster and more painless since venous intervention is usually performed. Instructor  Dural stated that the Electrophysiological Study Process gave a clear result in determining whether patients with palpitations and fainting complaints have rhythm disturbances.

Stating that the foci that cause rhythm disturbances are detected by reaching the heart from the leg veins with cables called catheters, and burning the said foci, the patients get rid of their complaints. Instructor Dural stated that the Ablation Procedure is performed simultaneously with the Electrophysiological Working Procedure and that most rhythm disorders can be completely corrected with this method.
