Scientific studies carried out at AFSU were exhibited with two stands at the Health Informatics and Technologies Conference and Fair. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Nurullah Okumuş, AFSU Faculty of Health Sciences Department of Health Management Lecturer Assoc. Dr. Emin İbili, AFSU Technology Transfer Office Coordinator Lecturer Emre Semiz and Faculty of Medicine Anatomy Department Res. Asst. Gülan Albas Kurt attended to the “HIMSS Eurasia Health Informatics and Technologies Conference and Fair” that was held in Antalya.
Our academics and AFSU Technology Transfer Office participated in the “HIMSS Eurasia Health Informatics and Technologies Conference and Fair”, which was organized under the auspices and support of the Ministry of Health in order to promote the scientific studies and projects carried out at our university. The products which were developed in the field of health and technology at our university met intense interest of the participants both in the field of “Smart Hospital” and in the stands in the fair area where the important health informatics companies of our country and Eurasia participated. Deputy Minister of Health Dr. Şuayip Birinci visited the AFSU stands and examined the augmented reality technology project in detail. Dr. Birinci received information about the studies at AFSU and presented a Plaque of Appreciation to AFSU staff.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Nurullah Okumuş expressed his happiness for the interest shown in the augmented reality project prepared by our academics and he said that AFSU has made a name for itself in the national and international arena by transforming its academic knowledge into technology production. Prof. Dr. Okumuş stated that technological commercialized outputs have emerged from academic studies with the knowledge of AFSU’s academic staff, and he noted that they aim to develop technological products that will be commercialized and increase their applicability to industry within the scope of university-industry cooperation with AFSU Technology Transfer Office.
AFSU Faculty of Health Sciences Health Management Department Lecturer Assoc. Dr. Emin İbili, who participated as an invited speaker in the “Horizontal Opening Technologies and Hospital Applications in the Health Service of the Future” panel moderated by Kemal Şahin, Vice President of HIMSS Turkey, made a presentation on the reflections of augmented reality technology on health informatics and research at AFSU. Assoc. Dr. İbili stated that they have come up with collaboration proposals from leading companies and public institutions during the fair and that strong collaborations on behalf of AFSU may be the top of the agenda in the upcoming period.
