AFSU Health Application and Research Center (SUAM) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit has been awarded the title of “Baby-Friendly Newborn Intensive Care Unit” as a result of the evaluations made within the scope of the “Promoting Breastmilk and Baby-Friendly Health Institutions Program” carried out by the Ministry of Health. The “Baby Friendly Newborn Intensive Care Unit” plaque given by Afyonkarahisar Provincial Health Directorate was presented to our Rector Prof. Dr. Nurullah Okumuş, Chief Physician of SUAM Assoc. Dr. Ahmet Ali Tuncer, Deputy Chief Physician Assoc. Dr. Aydın Balcı, Head Manager Hatip Aydın, Head Nurse Muharrem Berk, Hospital Manager İbrahim Türk, Hospital Assistant Manager Serhan Toy, Pediatrics Department faculty members Prof. Dr. Ahmet Afşin Kundak and Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Bükülmez was hanged in the Neonatal Intensive Care Service with the participation of, her department assistants, Nurse in Charge of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Nurgül Gümüş, and department nurses.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Okumuş thanked our staff for their devoted and successful work and for bringing this title to our hospital.
